Wilmer Koss Obituary

Wilmer Koss, 82 of Cedar Rapids died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 at First Lutheran Church. Inurnment will follow in Cedar Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids. Wilmer was born June 27, 1925 in Ely, the son of Louis and Emily (Petrak) Koss.

He married M. Margaret Miller on April 29, 1949 in Ely. Wilmer is survived by his daughter Kristi Koss; grandchildren: Korri Spratte, Denny Spratte, Sarah Koss, and Kay Koss; greatgrandchildren: Bryant Kuba, Kinsey Stiffler, and Teagan Spratte; brother Gerald Koss; and sister-in-law Sally Nuss. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son Kim Koss; and greatgrandson Caleb.
