David Bentley Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Bentley in Cedar, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2026 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint David leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his father Gordon Bentley; his daughter Lou Ann Bentley; and his brother-in-law Ron. He is survived by: his mother Patty Bentley (Joerger) of Earlham; his sons, Kyle, Klint Bentley (Keri) of Fairbank and Kaleb Bentley (Kyla) of Jesup; and his brother Duane. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Woods Funeral Home (400 Lakeside Dr, Fairbank, IA 50629). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery (106 Iowa St S, Fairbank, IA 50629).
