David Svoboda Obituary
We announce the death of David Svoboda of Cedar, Iowa, who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 85. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Svoboda and Margaret Svoboda (Kepler); his granddaughter Britney Carolan; his brothers, Tom Jr., John and Steve Svoboda; and his sisters-in-law, Darlene Callahan, Betty Svoboda and Diane Svoboda.
He is survived by: his wife Dee; his children, Micheal Svoboda (Dana) and Sherry Carolan (Phil); his grandchildren, Zach Svoboda (Amanda), Stephanie Mizell (Jake), Jourdan Winterhof (Colin), Marcus Carolan (Gloria), Tyler Carolan (Hanna), Mia, Noelle and Luca Sinno; his great grandchildren, Malachi, Uriah, Zion and Titus Svoboda; his grandchildren, Orianna, George Mizell, Hobbes, Murray Winterhof, Fletcher and Andie Carolan; his sister Theresa Alberts (Wayne); and his siblings-in-law, Shelly Svoboda and Dwayne Callahan.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Community Savings Bank (101 Robins Square Ct, Robins, IA 52328).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association of Iowa.
