He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Possehl and Lenora Possehl. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, DeAnn of Racine and Denise Grove (Dennis) of Marion; his grandchildren, Nolan Grove, Ella Grove, Brady Grove and Gracie Possehl; and his brother Carl Possehl (Andrea).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection (3500 29th Ave, Marion, IA 52302).
The family extends a special thank-you to the staff at Meth-Wick Woodlands and Suncrest Hospice for their care and support of Dennis during his final journey with Parkinson's disease. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Camp Courageous, or Suncrest Hospice in Dennis's memory.
