It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Powell of Cedar, Iowa, who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Donna is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Donna's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Boss and Alice Boss (Christensen); her husband William "Bill" Powell; and her siblings, Margaret Mefford, Beverly Sickles, Phyllis Walz and Eugene Boss.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Powell (Bonnie) of Davenport, IA, Bradley Powell (late Susan) of Council Bluffs, IA, Vicki Fisher (Dan Sheehy) of Plymouth, MN and Dr Tracy Powell (Ann) of Edina, MN.; and her sisters, Sue Vaughn of Arlington, TX and Mary Fye of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
