He was predeceased by: his parents, Garrit Beek and Sophie Van Beek (Stoik); his son Douglas Van Beek; his granddaughter Gina Rizzio; and his siblings, Dorothy Schultz, Virginia Hansen, Loretta Rand, Ruth Foss and Kenneth Van Beek.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Ann Apfel; his daughters, Tammy Rizzio (Rick), Wendy Fitzgerald and Gwen Blass (Chris); and his siblings, Corinne Krusensterna, Carolyn Topdahl, Thomas and Robert Van Beek. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
