With solemn reverence, we commemorate Gerald Tharp of Cedar, Iowa, whose life came to an end on October 2, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Durward Tharp and Hazel Tharp (Reid); his wife Carol Severin; and his grandson Connor. He is survived by: his children, Therese Plummer (Jim), Todd Tharp (Angela) and Jamie Tharp (Staci); and his grandchildren, Brett, Hannah, Abby, Sadie and Mason.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (3634 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Cedar Rapids.
