It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Derlein of Cedar, Iowa, born in Stoughton, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Gilbert Lund and Olga Lund (Dahl); her husband Richard Derlein; and her siblings, Donna Sowle, Shirley Lindelien and Richard Lund.

She is survived by : her children, Jeffrey Derlein (Robin) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kristi Perez (Perry) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Brenda of Cedar Rapids, IA, Scott of Cedar Rapids, IA, Teresa of Cedar Rapids, IA and Michael Derlein (Deanna) of Cedar Rapids, IA; and her grandchildren, Tyler Derlein, Logan Black Marchand, Jennifer Wagner and Chad Derlein.
