John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Thompson and Margaret Thompson; his sister Marilyn Houser; his sister-in-law Martha Thompson; and his sibling's children, Paul and April.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his brother Robert of Minnesota; and his nephews, Andrew and Peter.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Salem United Methodist Church (3715 33rd Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).
