He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Busse and Eileen Busse; and his brother Larry Busse. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Kappmeyer of Tripoli, Iowa.; his children, LoriAnn Busse (Mark Stulik) of Maricopa County, Arizona and Jeffrey Busse (Michele) of Cedar Rapids; his granddaughters, Anna Busse, Monica Rackley (Victoria) and Grace Busse (Joey Valery); his daughter Lisa Carpentier of San Clemente; his grandchildren, Alexandra Carpentier, Devan Rexinger (Matthew) and Marie-Josee Carpentier; and his sister Karla Davis.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery Funeral Home (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Life Church (8300 C Avenue, Marion, IA 52302).
