With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lonnie Ellsworth of Cedar, Iowa, born in Ryan, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 22, 2026 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Coder Ellsworth; his parents, George Ellsworth and Dorothy Ellsworth; his brother Gary Ellsworth; his daughter Lora Lee Ellsworth Cook; and his stepson Kevin Coder.
He is survived by: his significant other Mary Henderson Price of Marion; his daughter Dona Ellsworth Farrington of Marion; his sister Shirley Ellsworth of Daytona Beach, Florida; and his stepchildren, Connie Coder Beck of Cedar Rapids, Kenny Coder of Cedar Rapids, Karan Coder Ruzicka of Cedar Rapids and Dixie Coder Mueller of Central City. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
