Melvin Svec Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Svec of Cedar, Iowa, who passed away on November 8, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Svec and Barbara Svec; his daughter Julie Svec; his siblings, Arnie Svec, Verne Svec and Diane Gladwin; and his nephews, Bob Svec, Greg Ciha and Jeff Ciha.

He is survived by : his wife Joanne; his daughter Deborah Serbousek; his grandsons, Jeffrey Serbousek and Matthew Serbousek (Hillary); his great grandchildren, Brayley, Emreigh and Wattney Serbousek; and his siblings-in-law, Louellen Svec, Virginia Svec, Dorothy Ciha (Don) and Daryl Gladwin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Cedar Valley Humane Society.
