She was predeceased by : her parents, Floyd Lewis and Alpha Faye Kotenbrink (McCart); and her sister Deloris. She is survived by : her husband Dennis "Denny" Schultz of Anamosa, Iowa; her children, Wade Schultz (Julie) of Lisbon and Lane Schultz (Amy Straub) of Springville; her grandchildren, Haiden "Hank" Smith of Anamosa, Emily Schultz of Lisbon and Slayton Straub of Springville; and her siblings-in-law, Lowell Schultz (Roni) of Independence and Donna Boren of Grundy Center. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

A memorial fund has been set up in Mona's honor. Memorials may be directed to Denny Schultz to be donated at a future date.
