He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Alberts and Elsie Alberts (Weichman); his grandson Timothy Anderson; and his brothers, Eddie and Dean Alberts.

He is survived by : his wife Karen Flannery of Cedar Rapids, IA; and his children, Lisa Andersen (Larry) of Cashton, Kelly Alberts (Ann) of Carlsbad, Corey Alberts (Tracy) of Marion, IA and Shawna Huls (Kevin) of Marion, IA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of one's choice or especially close to his heart, Balance Autism.
