We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2026, at the age of 93, Richard Hodge of Cedar, Iowa, born in Maplewood, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Hodge and Mary Hodge (Stephenson). He is survived by: his children, Dr. Richard (Stephanie), Dennis Marion (Terri) and Dawn Alitz (David) of Apple Valley, MN.; and his grandchildren, Ben (Anna), Stephen (Lauren) of Spring Hill, TN, Gabe (Brittany) of Copper Mountain, CO, Chris Iwakuni (Hiroko), Nick (Amber) of Chicago, IL, Erin Thorson (Mike), Marion, Jonah, Birgit Alitz of Mason City, IA and Tabitha Alitz of Junction City, KS..

In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to the Marion Methodist Church.
