He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Ramsey and Joyce Ramsey; his brother Gerald; and his granddaughter Madison. He is survived by : his siblings, Homer and Janet; his children, Dennis, Jeff (Paula) and Laura; his wife Ann S. Ramsey; his son Michael (Vivian); and his grandchildren, Shelby (Matt), Anna, Molly, Alex and Lewis.

Memorials may be directed to the F.K. Ramsey Scholarship for Academic Excellence at Iowa State University or to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
