She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Wardenburg and Cora Wardenburg (Weibold); her husband Clark Burns; her sons, Mark Schumacher and Jeff Schumacher; her sister Ruth Gosnell; and her brothers-in-law, Howard Gosnell, Leland Campbell and Don Carrier.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Pegump (John) of Walford and Kevin Schumacher (Teresa) of Des Moines; her daughter-in-law Shelly Schumacher of Amana; her children, Sue Gosnell (Dale) of Conroy and Bob Burns (Sue) of Florida; her sisters, Marge Campbell of Oxford and Janet Carrier of Bellevue; and her sister-in-law Beverly Ashbrenner of Virginia. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (805 Business Highway 151 W, Walford, Iowa). A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
