He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon; his parents, Erma Shaffer and Paul Shaffer; his siblings, Helen, Tom, Dick and Sandra; his daughter-in-law Karen; and his nephew Robert.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie (Julio), John (Karen) and Jason (Jenny); his grandchildren, Harrison, Luke, Anna, Ben, Alex and Gigi; his son Matt (Jeanne); his brothers, Bob and Bill; and his sister-in-law Melanie Raulerson (Tom).
