He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ronnenberg and Ardelia Ronnenberg (Ward); his wife JoAnn; his stepfather Jess Phelps; and his sister Violet Haerther.
He is survived by: his son William Jr. (Chiara Giuliani); his granddaughters, Sofia and Luisa of Washington, DC; his daughter Julie Bode (Dwight) of Coralville; his grandchildren, Courtney, Alex (Rylee) and Elle; his son Michael (Grace Wang-Ronnenberg); his grandchildren, Quinn and Rhett of Manchester, Iowa; his sister Rose McDonald; his siblings-in-law, Bill Stone and Barb Conner; Remi and Halsie Bode. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids.
