We bid farewell to Laura R. Morris of Center Point, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 13, 2025 at the age of 71. Laura touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the sacred silence of farewell, Laura is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Col. Charles Miller and Helen Miller. She is survived by: her husband Wayne; her children, Jason Morris (Bridget) of Urbana and Jamie Morris; her stepson Kurt Morris (Susan) of Center Point; and her siblings-in-law, Edwin Thompson (Judy) of Quasqueton, Rena Sanders (Harold) of LeClaire, Delores Reed of LaPorte City, Iowa, Chris Mayfield of Marion, Irwin Morris (Diane) of Marion and Lanora Walker (Terry). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Murdoch Funeral Home (622 Main St S, Center Point, IA 52213). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at the Urbana Community Center (102 Capitol Ave, Urbana, IA 52345).
