He was predeceased by : his mother Ellen Sargent; and his brother-in-law Jim Estes. He is survived by : his daughters, Elizabeth Brommel (Cody), Erin Hollingsworth (Isabel) and Em Hollingsworth; his close friend Irene McCoy; his grandchildren, Jake, Cailee, Bella, Caden and River; his father Squire "Bud" Hollingsworth (Wanda); and his sisters, Maggie Hollingsworth-Estes and Kelly Helm (Ellsworth).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St Jude Children's Hospital in his name.
