With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Johnson of Centerville, Iowa, born in Wapello, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 1, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene Johnson; his children, Vickie Guffey and David Guffey; and his sons-in-law, Gene Perryman and John Hepker.
He is survived by: his children, DeAnna Hepker, Becky McSparen (Mike), Daniel Guffey, Brenda Hare, Susan Guffey and Danielle Walker (John); and his close friend Val Dial. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
