She was predeceased by : her parents, William Townsend and Carrie Townsend (Updike); her daughter Jaymie Paine (Roemerman); her brothers, Dean, Keith and Donald Townsend; and her sister-in-law Evelyn Townsend.

She is survived by : her husband William Virgil Roemerman of Williamsburg; her sons, Michael Roemerman (Susan) of Mahtowa and Martin Roemerman (Angela) of Iowa City; and her grandchildren, David Roemerman, Geoff Roemerman (Ashley), Krista Roemerman, Chris Paine (Raquel), Erin Kelley (Matthew), Meredith Roemerman, Kaitlyn Wright (Adam), Daniel Roemerman (Tyler) and Anna Roemerman. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
