He was predeceased by: his father James E. Chantrill; his brother Timothy J. Chantrill; his grandparents, Fred, Viola Chantrill, Leland and Margaret Hungate; and his uncles, Joseph Hungate (Georgia) of Atlanta, David Hungate of Rock Island, Leland E. Hungate Jr. of Des Moines, Richard, Loueile Chantrill of Portland, Clyde Chantrill of Dallas and Verne (Margaret Schluter).
He is survived by: his mother Roma Chantrill; his friend Hampton; his son Sky; his siblings, Ron Chantrill, Leland Chantrill and Roma Jean Chantrill; and his aunts, Susan Hungate of Rock Island, Lela Stottlemeyer (Rob) of Springfield, Myrna Hungate of Winder, Georgia and Jo Chantrill of Ackley. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hampton Church of Christ (811 4th St NE, Hampton, IA 50441). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
