It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Roy Barber of Chariton, Iowa, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Barber and Nina Barber (Taylor); and his daughter Lorie. He is survived by : his wife Charlene; his daughter Sherrie Willson (Brent); his grandchildren, Lila and Mya of Grand Rapids, Mich.; his son-in-law Kurt Thompson of Lakeville, Minn.; his siblings, Susanne Barber of Chariton and John Barber (Coleen) of Grand Junction, Colo.; and his nieces and nephews, Dennis, Philip (Cindy), Nanette Latta (John), Ellen, Jennifer Mennenga (Chris) of Colorado and Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, David's family would appreciate donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Christian Union Church in Chariton.
