He was predeceased by: his parents, John Davis (Florence Hoover) and Florence Elizabeth Hoover (Wohlwend); and his children, Doyle Hoover Jr. and Deborah Hoover. He is survived by: his wife Janet; and his children, Dennis Hoover of Des Moines, Darin Hoover (Twyla) of Knoxville and Deedra Ruff (LeRoy) of Russell. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
