Gail Nickelson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gail Nickelson of Chariton, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 24, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gail may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gail touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Kytle and Eunice Kytle; her husband Keith; and her sons, Terry and Mark.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Buckalew and Jay Nickelson (Amber). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Almost Home Animal Shelter.
