With sadness, we share the passing of Lois Irene Ziegler of Chariton, Iowa. Lois, born on March 9, 1952, passed away on October 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Laurel Brown and Geneva Brown; and her siblings, Allen Brown, Ellis Brown, Devee Baker, Bernita Simonson, Jan Hancox and Joy Gordy.
She is survived by: her children, Romie Chapman (Becky), Blake Chapman (Kristie) and Shannon Cortesio; her sister Elaine McGrann; her grandchildren, Andrew Chapman, Lydia Chapman, Abby Chapman, Kenzie McCorrmick (Blake), Callie Chapman and Quinton Cortesio; and her great grandchild Ridge McCorrmick.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Thomas Funeral Home-Corydon (303 E Jefferson St, Corydon, IA 50060). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Corydon Cemetery (2031 135th, Corydon, IA 50060).
