We are sad to announce that on October 18, 2019, at the age of 83, Nancy Askren (Chariton, Iowa) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nancy Askren to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her mother Lois Allene Trimble Grove; her husband James S. Askren; her daughter Donna Sue Askren; her father Robert Grove; and her siblings, Bobby Grove, Nita Chamberlain and Delores Curtis.

She is survived by: her children, Dian Rowland (Bryan), James Askren (Julie) and Deb; her grandchildren, Nicholas Rowland (Brandy), Kristin Benton, James E. Askren, Elizabeth Askren, Bradley Askren, Ryan Mason and Michael Mason (Emily); her great grandchildren, Madelyn Benton, Paislee Benton, Nicole Rowland, Colby Rowland and Bentleigh Mason; and her siblings, Betty Stoll (Duane), Chuck Grove (Joyce) and Larry Grove (Evelyn). She is also survived by many relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Legacy Lodge Hospice in Chariton.

“Diane, Jimmy, Debbie it's Terri Jo. I want you all to know I'm thinking of you and that you are in my prayers. I know what hard times you're going through right now you know we went through the same thing not too long ago with Mom. I'd like to say it gets easier but it hasn't for me yet. I love you all as much as I did Aunt Nancy. I'm trying to make it to the funeral but if I can't never forget since you're always in my thoughts and prayers. I love you all and send you my deepest condolences.”
