He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Wallace and Gladys Wallace; his wife Margaret Wallace; and his sister Sharon Cook. He is survived by : his son Stephen Wallace (Kari) of Ohio; his grandsons, David Wallace (Whitney) of Ohio and Jonathan Wallace; his great grandchild William Wallace; his sisters, Shirley McCracken (Charles) of Fairfield and Karen Shaw (Robert) of Centerville, Ohio; and his brother-in-law Lee Cook (Sandy) of Elgin, Illinois. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Homes - Chariton (914 Roland Ave, Chariton, IA 50049). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Chariton Cemetery (901 S Main St, Chariton, IA 50049).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Dick's name to Open Door Christian Schools, located at 8287 W. Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
