He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Peterson and Joyce Peterson (Jennings); his siblings, Michael Peterson and Mala Thomas; his brother-in-law Jeff Moody; his grandparents, Paul, Martha Peterson, Harry and Maxine Jennings; and his nephew Tyler Thomas.

He is survived by: his wife Danielle; his children, Aimee Keith and Andy Peterson (Jacquelyn); his grandchildren, Tanner, Addie, Aubryana, Kenadee and Sophie; his sister Cindy Masters-Moody; his siblings-in-law, Randy Thomas and Dawn Hoeg (Dean); and his aunt Sharon Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the family to be designated at a later date.
