Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved David Leroy Lutz of Charles City, Iowa, born in Greene, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 85, on October 6, 2025. He was predeceased by: his wife Georgianna Merrill; and his siblings, Betty J. Breuning, Marie Koehler and Harlan Lutz. He is survived by: his daughter Theresa Deetz (Doug); his grandchildren, Rick Deetz (Shannon), Tiffany Deetz (Kane Miller), Emily Rust (Matt) and Caleb Deetz (Bella); and his great grandchildren, Porter, Maisie Miller, Henry, Nash Deetz, Trevor, Carter Rust and Lowen Deetz.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (106 Chapel Ln, Charles City, IA 50616).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in David's honor.
