He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Horn and Gertrude Van Horn (Greaves); and his son David M. Van Horn, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Shelba Rieck; his daughter Tina Marx (Floyd) of Bryant; his grandsons, David M. Van Horn, Jr. (Samantha), Taylor Bartels (Emily) and Tad Bartels; his great grandchildren, Jameson Van Horn, Wrenley Bartels, Rhylen Bartels and Mason Hartz; and his sisters, Kathy Kustes (John) of Sabula and Myrna Stoltenberg (Ned) of Clinton.
Memorials can be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jackson County Hospice, or the Charlotte/Goose Lake Fire Department.
