He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Unruh and Bernice Unruh (Holdgrafer). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Young; his children, Sheila Bormann (Dan) and Ryan Unruh (Marci); his grandchildren, Lance Bormann (Rachel) and Shelby Demmer (Riley); his great grandchildren, Hayden, Hazel Bormann and Kolten Demmer; his brother Gary Unruh; and his nephew CJ Unruh.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (204 Anna St, Preston, IA 52069). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
