Joyce Weed Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Weed (Charter Oak, Iowa), born in Boone, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 30, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce Weed to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ted Pepples and Viola Pepples (Disbrowe); her husband Joseph Weed; her son Joseph Charles Weed; her siblings, Lee Pepples, Ted Pepples and Gloria Pitt; and her brother-in-law Edward Weed.
She is survived by: her children, DeeAnna Weed (Charles Kelly) of Postville and Randy Weed (Lori) of Charter Oak; her grandchildren, Courtney Otuya (Kevin), Candice Weed, Carmen Terwilleger (John), Colby Weed, Elyse Sorensen (Dean), Tanner Weed (Lisa), Savanna Mosbach (Zach), Mitchell Weed and Dallas Weed; her great grandchildren, Kelby, Rhett, Korbyn, Cooper, Blakely, Archer, Charlie, Brylee, Jax and Amelia; and her daughters, Julie Dobernecker and Edina Harmath. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Huebner Funeral Home (156 Main St, Charter Oak, IA 51439). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church (124 Cedar Ave, Charter Oak, IA 51439). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at the St. Clair Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed the United Methodist Church, St. Croix Hospice or other local organizations.
