He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Whitsell and Elsie Whitsell (Bistline); his sister-in-law Connie Whitsell; and his niece Diane Whitsell. He is survived by: his significant other Kathleen Whitsell; his stepchildren, Brian Jack of Brooklyn, Kristy Baarda (Shaun) of Sully and Stephanie Campbell (Floyd) of Kellogg, Iowa; his grandchildren, Blake Jack (Allie), Dalton Jack (Ruth), Lindsay Dykstra (Chase), Randy Jack, Korie Campbell (Aiden Monce), Brooke Baarda (Jesse Lasik) and Kenleigh Jack; his brother Harold Whitsell; his nieces, Kristine Weis (Derek) and Susan Harberts (Phil); and his close friend Maizee. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Madison Church of Christ (3501 140th St, Brooklyn, IA 52211). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025.
