It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glenn Suchomel of Chelsea, Iowa, who passed away on August 4, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Suchomel and Julia E. Suchomel (Bartos); his parents-in-law, George W. Jr. and Ova B. Jenkins (Cunningham); his siblings, Albert Suchomel (LaVonne), Harold Suchomel (Dolores), Ruth Hunter (Donald) and Leon Suchomel; and his stepgrandson Robert Lowery.
He is survived by: his former spouse Sandy Suchomel of Cedar Rapids; his children, Lynn Suchomel of Cedar Rapids, Lisa Reicks (Rodney) of Rochester, Minn and Lora Lowery (Donnie) of Tebbetts; his grandchildren, Abby Beltz (Justin) of Cedar Rapids, Cassandra Brester (Derek) of Holts Summit, Stephanie Bisges (John) of Jefferson City, Molly Stewart (Ben) of Jefferson City, Julia Reicks of Orlando, Fla. and Elizabeth Reicks of Belgrade, Mont.; his stepgranddaughter Jessie Shulte of Jefferson City; his sister-in-law Darlene Suchomel of Cedar Rapids; and his friend Phyllis McIntyre of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren/step great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Plumbers & Fitters Local 125 Hall (5001 J St SW #200, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404).
