She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelse Anderson and Esther Anderson (Odelius); her husband Lowell Allen; her daughter Sandra Janssen; and her siblings, Eva Halstrom (Bernell), Dorothy Uhl (Henry) and Kenneth Anderson (Betty).
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Allen (Richard Bell) of Omaha and Linda Paslay (Dennis) of North Aurora, Illinois; her son-in-law Dennis Janssen of Donnellson, Iowa; and her sister-in-law Kay Allen of LeMars, Iowa.. She is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Elaine's honor to the Meriden Evangelical Free Church in Meriden, Iowa.
