It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Janice Kerr of Cherokee, Iowa, who passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Vernon G. Helt and Evelyn Helt (Droll); her former husband Mike Bolton; and her siblings, Erika of Dakota City, NE, Victor, Vincent (Cathy) and Valdemar Helt.

She is survived by: her husband Donald Kerr of Le Mars, Iowa; her brother Varrick (Candace Helt) of Wildwood, FL; and her sisters-in-law, Donna Helt of Lincoln, NE and Julie Helt of Sergeant Bluff, IA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
