She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul and Helen (Van der Aarde); and her husband Dean. She is survived by : her children, Debbie Knowles of LeHigh Acres, Florida, Steve Smith of Richland, Washington and Linda Khodeir of Cherokee, Iowa; her grandchildren, Jeremy Smith, Heather Carter, Keesha Knowles and Kenny Knowles of Florida; and her children, Logan Houser of Ohio, Christie Irish (Travis) of Cozad, Nebraska, Corey Speer of St. Joseph, Missouri, Amanda Kuzn and Ben Smith of Washington State. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren.
