It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie J. McGuire of Cherokee, Iowa, who passed away on March 29, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Eli Rees and Irene Rees (Bolger); her husband Dr. Edmund R. McGuire; and her brothers, Thomas Rees and Richard Rees.

She is survived by : her children, Bradley (Joni Betts) of Sioux City, IA and JoEllen (Fred Yohnke) of Ida Grove, IA; her grandchildren, Dr. Jessica Albers, Matthew Jensen, Paige Betts and Jordan Betts; her sister Ann Beach of Redfield, IA; her sister-in-law LaVonne Rees of Tacoma, WA.; her stepson Michael McGuire; her children, Samantha, Abilene and Chad (Peggy McGuire); her granddaughter Margaret; her daughter Jill (Ryan Johnson); and her grandsons, Evan and Carson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
