Joan Ballantyne Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Ballantyne of Cherokee, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Stief and Erma Stief (Roggow); her husband Keith Ballantyne; and her brother Maynard Stief (Donna). She is survived by: her brother Mahlon Stief (Linda) of Cherokee, Iowa; and her sibling's children, Michael Stief (Tonya), Pat Stief (Deb), Mark Stief (Kathy), Marlin Stief (Amy), Rick Stickler, Tim Stief (Alyssa), John Ballantyne (Riatta) and Tiffany Willett (Darren). She is also survived by several great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Trinity Lutheran Preschool or Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee.
