With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Julie Ann Thomas of Cherokee, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 5, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Plathe and Esther Plathe (Klein); her sisters, Diane Plathe, Jolene Tiedeman and Kim Tiedeman; her parents-in-law, Doris and R. J. Thomas; and her brothers-in-law, Rodney Buren and William P. Browne.

She is survived by: her husband Craig Thomas of Cherokee, Iowa; her sons, Aaron Thomas of Cherokee, Adam and Paige Thomas; her granddaughters, Chelsea, Elizabeth and Heidi of Cherokee; her son Andrew Thomas; her grandchildren, Remi, Nori, Reid Jacob and Ryan Joseph of Cherokee, Iowa; her siblings, Cheryl Buren of Sanborn, Joyce Anderson (Larry) of LeMars and Duane Plathe of Fairmont, Minnesota; and her siblings-in-law, Cheryl Ooten (Robert) of Costa Mesa, Linda Browne of Manistee, Jim Tiedeman of Orange City and Steve Thomas (Lori) of Cherokee, Iowa. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
