He is survived by : his children, David Simmons (Corliss) of Quimby, IA, Kathryn Hempel of Urbandale, IA, Mary DeWitt (Gary) of Hermann, MO and Melissa Kohn (Martin) of Cherokee, IA; his son-in-law Perry Lee of Alta, IA; and his brother Gene Simmons (Darlene) of Ohio. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
