She was predeceased by : her parents, William D. Schumann and Clara Schumann (Eichorn); and her siblings, Wilfred Schumann, Delvie Stewart, Marvin Schumann, Orville Schumann, Ronnie Schumann and Johnny Schumann (Paul Betts).

She is survived by : her former life partner Alvin Nafe; her husband Paul Betts; her children, Linda Crone (John) of Humble and Wayne Nafe of Cherokee, Iowa; and her siblings, Gladys Baker of Sheffield, Irma Redenius of Ida Grove, Iowa and Merle Schumann (Boots) of Battle Creek, Iowa. She is also survived by three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
