He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Bute of Elk Point, Brenda Bute of Cherokee and Terry Bute of Cherokee; his grandchildren, Taylor Bute of Cherokee, Kyle Carey of Aurelia, Tristin Booher of Cherokee, Kaylyne Booher of Cherokee, Gracie Tuttle of Sioux City, Landon Todd of Washta and Khendyl Bute of Cherokee; his great grandchildren, Carter, Connor Baatz and Cohen Wallinga; his sister Kay Gagatko (Terry) of Cherokee; and his siblings-in-law, Ed Sholly (Max) of Osage, Louie Sholly of Sedalia, Missouri, Donna Sholly of Osage and Deb Tyler of Elizabeth, Louisiana..
