We bid farewell to William F. Spears of Cherokee, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 21, 2025 at the age of 83. William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Spears and Jean Spears (Reck); his parents-in-law, Lillian and Floyd Strehlow; his siblings, John Spears, James Spears and Genevieve "Jeanne" Spears Kerstetter; and his sister-in-law Mary Zacharias (Strehlow).
He is survived by: his wife Janice Spears of Cherokee, Iowa; his children, Debra Trojanowski (Kevin) of Bellevue, Jason Spears of Larrabee and Tom Spears (Charlotte Minor) of Lennox; his grandchildren, Alex Trojanowski (Mya Flores), Dahlia Trojanowski, Tim Trojanowski, Mae Trojanowski and Halie Spears (Jason Hammer); his great grandchildren, Amara and Archie Trojanowski; his brother Robert Spears of Shamokin, Pennsylvania; and his brothers-in-law, Donald "Doc" Kerstetter of Shamokin, Jim Zacharias of Wagner and Richard Strehlow (Roberta) of Geddes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Bill's honor to the Quimby Golf Course.
