He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Ruser and Alice Ruser (Stoeffen); his daughter Michele Renae Ruser; and his sister Marlene Rauch. He is survived by: his wife Maureen; his children, Gregory Ruser (Lorene) of Lincoln, Timothy Ruser (Dyannae) of Princeton, Iowa, Annette Oepping (Joel) of Clarence and Melanie Koch (Jason) of Muscatine; and his brother Ronald Ruser (Terry) of Bettendorf. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bentley Funeral Home (1001 6th St, Durant, IA 52747). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the New Liberty Fire Department.
