He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Schmidt and Alice Schmidt (Licht); his sister Karen Keith; and his brother-in-law David Keith. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Odeen of Clarence; his children, Matt Schmidt (Chyan) of North Liberty, Mindy Praught (Schmidt) of Clarence and Mike (Loretta Stewart) of Tipton; his grandchildren, Nicole Schmidt, Blake Moser (Morgan), Bryor Schmidt, Pacino Young, Skyler Schmidt, Jordyn Schmidt, Kennedy Stewart and Peyton Stewart (Austin); his great grandchildren, Cooper Schmidt, Maddex Easley, Kaiden Cook and Kreighton Cook; and his sister Kathy Robinson (Ronald) of Clarence. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clarence Park Pavilion (400 1st Ave, Clarence, IA 52216).
