It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Lois Bloom of Clarinda, Iowa, born in Northboro, Iowa, who passed away on March 25, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Otis Lair and Georgia Lair (Gell); her husband Kenneth Bloom; her daughter Michaelyn June McClarnon (Bloom); her daughter-in-law Nancy Bloom (Annan); her grandsons, David Kyle McClarnon and Matthew Craig McClarnon; and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Merryman (Bloom) and Miles Merryman.

She is survived by : her children, Mickie, Barb, Kenneth Lynn Bloom of Clarinda, Iowa and Shirley Jo Mondero (Bloom) of Bellevue, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Dee Bryant (Mike) of Clarinda, Kevin McClarnon (Dianne) of Ardmore, Karen McClarnon (Greg) of Clarinda, Brenda Engstrand (Rex) of Cumming and Jessica Saunders (Jeff) of Harlan, Iowa; her great grandchildren, Amanda Clemens (Joe), Megan Fidler (Jason), Jacob Bryant (Kelsey), Luke McClarnon (Jenna), Ben Engstrand (Samantha), Kristina Pitts (Jesse), Mason Saunders and Miles Saunders; and her brothers-in-law, George Bloom (Naomi) of Wichita and Max Bloom (Carolyn) of St. Charles, Iowa. She is also survived by 9 great, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
